The New Windsor Wood Hoop High Grade 1907 |
This banjo was owned by the late Harry Everett, who bought it in 1992 from a music shop in Bradford. Clive has replaced the MOP inlays and infilled many cracks and chips in the fingerboard as well as leveling and reforming the frets. The neck and lower rim have also been relacquered to return the banjo to excellent condition. | |||
The Barnes and Mullins Zither Banjo early 1890s |
This Zither Banjo required some infilling on the fingerboard and fret filing and setting up. The back of the neck was stripped and refinished with Clive's special matt finish. This banjo has been much admired as a fine example of its type, Barnes and Mullins can't estimate its date of manufacture but it must be pre 1895. |

The "Oakley" Banjorine |
This Banjorine was rescued from an Antique Shop in the West Midlands by Clive Hughes of Rock, who rebuilt it and put it back into playing condition. On the centre of the back it carries an engraved plate "The Oakley Banjo Made Expressly for Olly Oakley G.W. Arcade". Clive has repaired some damaged wood at bottom of the fingerboard and dressed the frets.
